Ledgewood is an active adult community.
Eighty percent of our homes must be occupied by at least one person who is 55
years of age or older and no one under the age of 18 is allowed to live on
the premises. Children and grandchildren of our residents are always welcome
and can stay over anytime. View what our residents have to say about the
Ledgewood community experience.
Our monthly clubhouse parties foster a
community bond, and personify New England’s
charm and heritage. New friendships have been made. Recipes have been traded.
Card games have been played. The great cooks that live among us have spoiled
the Ledgewood management team. We have been fortunate to attract such an
outgoing and lively bunch. Living at Ledgewood is fun!
We do our best at Ledgewood to keep our
residents up to date and well informed. We offer a monthly newsletter with a
calendar of upcoming events at the clubhouse, free local newspapers, AARP
literature updates and newsletters, Shirley’s Friends Travel
Information and medical literature from local hospitals.
We are a land-lease community that has 149
home sites on 40 acres of land. We are situated 1 mile from Lake Massabesic
watershed, one of the most beautiful areas in southern New Hampshire. This land is special
because it collects and stores water from rainfall or melting snow that
provides drinking water for 125,000 people in the regional Manchester area. Deer, raccoon, fox, loons,
hawks, and many other species of wildlife are part of this watershed. Game
fish include large and small mouth bass, white and yellow perch, and the lake
is periodically stocked with trout. The Lake
has a surface area of about 2,500 acres and encompasses about 28 miles of
shoreline. Due to the elevation of our land, we are able to see the forest
and the hills of Lake
Massabesic from the top
of most streets. It is quite picturesque.
